Fans in Rome woke up this morning to learn that their team had traded 25-year old center fielder Barton Greene to the Savannah Fire Ants. In return, the Gladiators will receive 35-year old starting pitcher Anastasio Díaz and 19-year old minor league center fielder Domingo García.
In his all-time stats Greene is hitting .265 with 193 hits, 6 home runs, 109 runs scored and 50 RBIs.
In his career Díaz has fashioned a 126-99 mark, 3.83 ERA and thrown 1996 innings. Opposing clubs are batting .253 lifetime against him and he has logged 1245 career strikeouts. |

Bozeman has worked out terms of a deal to send 27-year old left fielder Luis Martínez to Rome for 29-year old starting pitcher Masanori Ono and 20-year old minor league center fielder Todd Rankin. Both teams expect to introduce the players to their new teammates within a day or two.
During his career Martínez is hitting .329 with a total of 28 home runs.
In his whole career, the 29-year-old Ono has won 28 and lost 20, piling up 231 strikeouts and 178 walks in 406.2 innings with a 3.61 ERA. Opponents have hit .235 against him. |
