The Dynasty inked a deal with 28-year-old António González today signaling that it not only wanted him on the field but in the clubhouse.
Publicly, António González has spoken highly of Memphis, so the extension wasn't a total surprise.
González will draw $9,120,000 over the next 3 years.
This season González has earned 29 saves, made 57 relief appearances, fanned 54 hitters in 59.2 innings and posted an ERA of 3.02 and a 6-6 record. |

Luis Cruz spun his magic in a 5-0 shutout victory, allowing 6 hits while totaling 2 walks and 1 strikeout.
The Memphis pitcher put quite a spell on Copenhagen in a strong performance.
"I had a lot of good things working in this one," Cruz said. "I worked both sides of the plate. I was rarely behind in the count."
In 33 starts this year Cruz has fashioned a 12-10 record and a 3.78 ERA. |
| Monday, September 13th, 2027: IBC Star of the Week Picked
Memphis's Jorge Macías would not be denied the International Baseball Conference Player of the Week Award for this past week. His consistent stroke, which produced 11 hits in 23 at-bats and a .478 average, made him the clear favorite to win the honor.
"You just go out there and do what you have to do," said Macías, "When I'm up, I try to focus and block everything else out of my mind... and have a good at-bat. I'm up there to get a hit or advance a runner, not to get caught up in the emotion of the moment. I hope I can win this award every week."
He also tallied 3 home runs, 8 RBIs and 8 runs scored.
For the year Macías is batting .291 with 147 hits and 17 home runs. He has scored 79 times and driven in 91. |
