| Breaking News |  | Thursday, October 7th, 2027: Encryptors Williams Sidelined Delaware fans held their breath as Rick Williams left yesterday's Silverbacks-Encryptors contest with an injury. After the game, the team's medical staff said that the 25-year-old starting pitcher had suffered a damaged meniscus while throwing a pitch. It's estimated that he will be out 1-2 weeks.
This season to date Williams has a record of 10 wins and 4 losses with a 3.13 ERA, has appeared in 20 games and struck out 78 in 109.1 innings. |  | Thursday, September 30th, 2027: Hale Sidelined for 8 Months It took the Delaware team doctor a while to realize it, but starting pitcher Patrick Hale won't simply play through bone chips in his elbow after he got hurt throwing a pitch in today's Stallions-Encryptors game. At first, it looked like Hale might be back as early as tomorrow, but now the prognosis isn't quite so good; he's expected to miss at least 8 months. A spokesman for the club described the loss of Hale as a blow, but was confident that he'd be back soon.
This season to date, Hale has fashioned a 13-8 mark and 3.58 ERA in 173.1 innings. Opposing clubs are batting .245 against him and he has logged 90 strikeouts. |  | Sunday, September 26th, 2027: Yi Is IBC Batting Champ The best hitter in the International Baseball Conference this year was Young-chul Yi of the Delaware Encryptors. He hit .348 (183-526) to eclipse everybody for the 2027 batting crown.
