Anderson Phillips joked with reporters today as rumors concerning his future plans escalated. Phillips admitted he had received an offer from Mexico City but refused to be pinned down on the details.
Informants have thus far gleaned contradictory information and don't feel comfortable being quoted in print.

| Sunday, November 28th, 2027: Fuego, Aztecs Agree to Deal
The Havana Fuego announced a deal with the Aztecs today, sending 28-year old second baseman Juan Luna to Mexico City for 22-year old minor league first baseman Luis Sánchez and 24-year old minor league catcher Cam Mayes. It had been talked about for the past few weeks and everything came together late last night. All players are expected to be joining their respective clubs shortly.
To date Luna has a .241 career batting average and has totaled 22 home runs.

| Thursday, November 25th, 2027: Baca and Chávez Swapped
The Havana Fuego swapped 27-year old right fielder Vicente Baca for 21-year old minor league starting pitcher Tomás Chávez of the Aztecs after what Mexico City officials would only characterize as "difficult" negotiations.
Taking a look at his lifetime stats, Baca is hitting .238 with a total of 5 home runs.
