| Breaking News |  | Tuesday, October 31st, 2006: Muńóz Takes Home WC Cy Young Award The Oklahoma City Tornado have a rising superstar or maybe even a budding Hall-of-Famer in the making. It's Jaime Muńóz, this year's Western Circuit Cy Young Award selection. This blossoming hurler wowed fans, peers and sportswriters with a fabulous performance.
Muńóz compiled a 22-10 record in 37 starts, tallied 277 strikeouts in 250.2 innings and recorded a 2.44 ERA. Other clubs managed only a .215 batting average against him. |  | Tuesday, September 19th, 2006: Tornado Woods Lost for Year Bill Woods will soon find out from his doctors if his season will continue. The first diagnosis was not too positive and stated the Oklahoma City third baseman could miss the remainder of the year. Woods was injured while running the bases in the Tornado-Apaches clash at Tornado Alley recently. Doctors said he has a fractured toe and would be out a minimum of 7 weeks.
Posting a .296 batting average to date, Woods has 3 home runs and 37 RBIs. |  | Saturday, September 16th, 2006: Rob Fish Lost for Season Rob Fish of the Tornado just might have to call it quits for the season. The 27-year-old Oklahoma City left fielder received a possible season-ending injury against the Louisiana Crawfish recently at Tornado Alley. Fish suffered a sprained back while running the bases. The Tornado medical staff said he could be out quite some time, as much as 2-3 weeks.
