| Breaking News | | Wednesday, September 20th, 2006: Espinosa out of Action "I'm frustrated right now," said Houston first baseman Sergio Espinosa. "I can't help this team by sitting on the bench or in the training room." Unfortunately for the Lone Stars, that's where he will be spending the next one week. Espinosa suffered a tight hip muscle in today's game against Mexico City while running the bases. "Believe me," he said, "I won't be out a day longer than I have to be."
In 2006 Espinosa is batting .296 with 33 home runs and 117 RBIs. | | Tuesday, September 19th, 2006: González Connects for 3 Homers for Lone Stars Hipolito González went on a hitting rampage at Lone Star Ballpark today and got membership in the select club of hitters who have hit three home runs in a game. He walloped three into the stands to pace the Lone Stars to a 4-2 victory over the Mexico City Aztecs.
The Houston center fielder collected 3 hits in 4 at-bats, drove in 4 and scored 3 runs.
After his three-home run game he said this to the press: "I have been making solid contact lately, but not getting any lift. Today I got it up in the air and out of the ballpark. I had my home run swing down pat. Got some good pitches to hit, too."
H. González hit a solo-shot off H. Yen in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off P. Ausenhus in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off M. Anderson in the 6th and grounded out in the 8th.

He gave up 2 hits and collected 4 walks and 7 strikeouts.
Oklahoma City hitters were bewildered throughout the game by his delivery.
The opposing manager said, "When you face a guy who hides the ball like he does, it takes a couple of at-bats to try to find his release point. We just never figured him out."
This season London has gone 7-16 with an ERA of 4.49, posting 105 strikeouts in 148.1 innings. | | | | Team Information | | Record overall | 76-86, .469 PCT | | Position in Division | 3rd, 25.0 GB | | Record at home | 41-40, .506 PCT | | Record on the road | 35-46, .432 PCT | | Record in X-inning games | 8-7, .533 PCT | | Record in one-run games | 23-24, .489 PCT | | Record versus LHP | 26-27, .491 PCT | | Record versus RHP | 50-59, .459 PCT | | Record last 10 games | 4-6, .400 PCT | | Record in April | 10-11, .476 PCT | | Record in May | 16-12, .571 PCT | | Record in June | 10-18, .357 PCT | | Record in July | 14-14, .500 PCT | | Record in August | 12-17, .414 PCT | | Record in September | 13-14, .481 PCT | | Record in October | 1-0, 1.000 PCT |
