Beach balls were coming in at John Gray in September and he banged, bashed and blasted them all over the park, putting up a .429 batting average and hauling in the Western Circuit Batter of the Month trophy.
The 25-year-old Vancouver first baseman collected 42 hits last month in 26 games. He put up 8 home runs, 27 RBIs and 22 runs scored. Gray also drew 21 walks and compiled a .529 on-base percentage.
This season Gray is batting .340 with 124 RBIs, 101 runs scored and 33 home runs.

| Monday, September 25th, 2006: Gray on a Hot Streak, WC Player of the Week
John Gray of the Vancouver Lumberjacks cruised to Western Circuit Player of the Week honors after putting together one of the finest stretches in his career last week.
The first baseman batted .529 (9-17) with 2 home runs, 8 RBIs and 9 runs scored.
Thus far this year Gray has hit .341 with 32 home runs and 121 RBIs.

John Gray of the Vancouver Lumberjacks had a super week and today was voted the Player of the Week by the Western Circuit.
The 25-year-old first baseman put up a .464 average with a .559 on-base percentage, racking up 13 hits in 28 at-bats, 3 home runs, 10 RBIs and 5 runs scored.
Presently Gray is batting .337 with 30 home runs and 113 RBIs. He has played in 148 games and scored 89 times.
