Done deal! The Toronto Fire have agreed to send 29-year old catcher Patrick Humphrey to the San Francisco Gold Rush for 21-year old minor league first baseman Marcos De Jesús. The trade, rumored for days, was completed in the wee hours this morning.
Over his career Humphrey has batted .237 and collected 60 hits, 4 home runs and 37 RBIs.

Everyday everyone is checking up on Esteban Hernández to see if he got a hit to keep his hitting streak alive. Today's answer is "yes". He did it with a 2-3 day against the Gold Rush. The Los Angeles Whales second baseman stretched the streak to 25 games in his team's 9-1 triumph over the San Francisco Gold Rush at LA County Stadium.
E. Hernández singled in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, walked in the 4th, hit a two-run double in the 6th and flied out in the 8th.
This year Hernández is hitting .355 with 2 home runs.
