Friday, October 6th, 2006: Page Baffles Los Angeles
"That was one of my best outings," said Greg Page. "I was worried a lot in the bullpen. My ball wasn't quite right. Luckily, it can be two different worlds -- the bullpen and the game. Once I stepped on the field, it all fell into place."

It was an impressive start for the Crawfish hurler. He blanked the Whales 1-0 on a strong 6-hitter while ringing up 5 strikeouts and doling out 2 walks.

To date this year in 30 starts, Page has crafted a 14-8 mark with a 3.61 ERA.
Tuesday, October 3rd, 2006: Whales LF Out
Watching Alejandro Banda getting helped off the field today at LA County Stadium, fans of the Los Angeles Whales feared the worst. The news wasn't quite as bad as initially feared, but the left fielder will miss 3-4 weeks with a sprained back. "We feel we've dodged a bullet. When you see a guy break down like that, you worry right away," a team spokesman said. Banda suffered the injury running the bases in the game against the Crawfish.

In the 2006 campaign Banda has hit at a .214 clip with 75 RBIs, 18 home runs and 79 runs scored.
Monday, October 2nd, 2006: Los Angeles Star Captures WC Bat Crown
Esteban Hernández gave Whales fans plenty to cheer about this past year. His latest achievement, the 2006 Western Circuit batting crown, gives them one more reason to celebrate. In 157 games, the Los Angeles second baseman hit .347 with 201 hits, 2 home runs, 70 RBIs, and 84 runs scored.
