 | Tuesday, August 8th, 2006: Arvajo Goes 5-5 Against Havana
All game long Nashville's António Arvajo was rattling the walls at Johnny Cash Park and banging out base hits against the Havana Pirates. When the dust finally settled on the diamond, he had a 5-hit day and the Hawks had a 8-1 victory.
Speaking with reporters after his standout performance, the 28-year-old catcher said, "Get 5 hits, win a ballgame, it's nice. I could get used to this."
A. Arvajo hit an RBI single in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
For 2006 Arvajo is batting .254 with 9 home runs, 38 RBIs and 33 runs scored.

 | Wednesday, August 2nd, 2006: Rodríguez Gives Havana Goose Eggs
According to Luis Rodríguez of the Nashville Hawks, "There are three important elements in pitching success: location, location, and location." He told his pitching philosophy to sportswriters in the postgame interview after his 3-0 victory over Havana.
He blanked them on a 5-hitter, allowed 1 walk and had 7 strikeouts. "I really felt comfortable the whole game," Rodríguez said.
His manager echoed his comments, saying, "He hit his spots time and time again."
In 2006 Rodríguez has compiled a 5-11 mark with a 6.05 ERA.
