| Breaking News |  | Tuesday, October 31st, 2006: Brown Scores EC Best Hurler Honors
Paul Brown had a marvelous 2006 season. The Philadelphia mound mainstay garnered the most votes and has been named the EC Cy Young Award honoree.
The Freedom star dominated his opposition, finishing with 21 wins, 9 losses and a 2.34 ERA. In 36 starts he worked a total of 254 innings, striking out 217, while walking 56. Other clubs managed to hit only .230 against him.

It is unknown at this time if there is any truth to the rumor that Philadelphia's Ricardo Sabanal has asked his team for a trade. Insiders indicate the right fielder may not be happy with the club management. So far, the team's owners have refused to comment.

| Monday, September 18th, 2006: Brown Shuts out Pilgrims
Today Freedom pitcher Paul Brown sparkled in a 2-hit shutout against the Massachusetts Pilgrims at Liberty Stadium. He fanned 11 and walked 0 to help Philadelphia post the 7-0 win.
Checking out his stats for the season, Brown has registered 21 wins and 7 losses in 34 starts, 2.05 ERA and struck out 213 batters in 249.2 innings.
