The Toronto Fire have finalized a deal with the Oklahoma City Tornado for the services of 20-year old minor league center fielder David Butler. In exchange, the Tornado will receive 22-year old starting pitcher Enrico Romo.
Romo has compiled a lifetime ERA of 3.51 with 3 career victories and 7 defeats. He has 119 career strikeouts in 133.1 innings and has held opponents to a .248 batting average.

The players apparently knew they were on the trading block, so it did not surprise one of them when he learned that he had been traded to Los Angeles. "Got my bags packed already," he said, when reached for comment. The Whales will receive 26-year old starting pitcher Tommy Byrne, while 34-year old right fielder Bill Bennett will go to the Oklahoma City Tornado.
Bennett has a career .249 average with 847 hits, 136 doubles, 41 triples, 88 home runs, 403 RBIs, and 526 runs scored to date.
In his career stats Byrne has a record of 19 wins and 16 losses and a 3.61 ERA. He has struck out 266 in 306.2 innings.
