Wednesday, October 29th, 2177: Dallas-Phoenix Announce Swap
The Dallas Oil Kings have parted ways with 30-year old third baseman Shawn Donovan and 24-year old minor league second baseman Zhi-jun Hu in a trade with the Phoenix Apaches for 34-year old first baseman Lou Rockburn. The Oil Kings general manager confirmed the deal in an announcement this morning.

His all-time numbers show Donovan has compiled a .229 batting average and collected 268 hits, 23 home runs and 135 RBIs.

Rockburn's all-time stats include: 814 hits, 159 doubles, 33 triples, 99 home runs and 409 RBIs in 1164 games. He is batting .269 with 35 stolen bases and has scored 402 runs.
Sunday, August 31st, 2177: Martin Agrees to Terms, Stays in Dallas
The Oil Kings inked a deal with 40-year-old Roy Martin today signaling that it not only wanted him on the field but in the clubhouse.

Publicly, Roy Martin has spoken highly of Dallas, so the extension wasn't a total surprise.

Martin will draw $3,390,000 over the next 1 year.

This season Martin has made 24 relief appearances with no saves. In 33.2 innings he has fanned 17 hitters and recorded no wins and no losses with a 1.87 ERA.
Wednesday, August 6th, 2177: Becker Strokes 5 Hits
It doesn't happen very often, but it happened for Andy Becker -- a 5-hit day. He went on a rampage at Tornado Alley and paced the Tornado to a 10-4 win over the Dallas Oil Kings.

After his dynamite batting performance the Oklahoma City second baseman told the press, "I just tried to get myself in a good count and have a good at-bat. That's all I can control." His philosophy paid some great dividends today. He slammed 5 hits in 6 tries and put his name in the record book.

A. Becker singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit a two-run home run off C. Días in the 7th and flied out in the 9th.

Currently Becker has 2 home runs and a .307 batting average.
