Friday, November 7th, 2177: Alexander and Ramsey Traded
The Aztecs have reached a deal with Vancouver, sending 25-year old starting pitcher Homer Alexander to the Lumberjacks in exchange for 24-year old minor league second baseman Johnny Ramsey. Reports had been hinting at a deal in recent days, but weren't confirmed until this afternoon.

On his lifetime ledger sheet, the 25-year-old Alexander has won 2 and lost 5 with a 5.49 ERA.

Saturday, September 20th, 2177: Farrell Joins 3-HR Club
Nate Farrell penned his name in the record books after an explosive home run spree against Oakland. He's now among the select sluggers who have hit three home runs in a game.

In his record-setting day at Lumberjack Field the Vancouver right fielder went 4-5 with 6 RBIs and scored 3 times in the 14-4 victory over the Black Knights.

"It was just one of those days," he said in the postgame interview. "I don't know how to explain it. I'm just putting a good swing on the ball."

"Farrell was locked in," the Oakland skipper said. "We made some pretty good pitches. Those first two homers were exactly where the pitcher wanted to put them. He's pretty hot right now. You've just got to tip your hat."

N. Farrell walked in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off R. Parker in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, struck out in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off M. Blanchette in the 8th and hit a three-run home run off G. Drew in the 9th.

In his season totals Farrell has 16 home runs and a .276 batting average.
Friday, September 12th, 2177: Year Over for Lumberjacks Calhoun
The news is bad in Vancouver. The Lumberjacks have lost the services of second baseman Philip Calhoun for the rest of the season due to a torn back muscle. Calhoun was injured in a recent game with the San Diego Sunshine while running the bases and is expected to miss 2-3 months.

In 124 games Calhoun is hitting .311 this season for the Lumberjacks with 117 hits, 16 home runs, 44 RBIs, 51 walks, .401 OBP and has scored 69 runs.
