| Breaking News |  | Friday, December 12th, 2177: Mexico City, Oakland Agree to Swap
It has been in the rumor mill for several weeks, but today team officials for Mexico City and Oakland confirmed an agreement. The Aztecs dealt 24-year old reliever Jeff Harris to the Black Knights for 22-year old minor league first baseman Tony Martin and 22-year old minor league shortstop Walt Jones.

Oakland and Mexico City have agreed to a trade today. 23-year old reliever Kelvin O'Rorke will go to the Aztecs. In exchange the Black Knights will receive 19-year old minor league center fielder Richard Mitchell and 24-year old minor league third baseman Chris Powers.
O'Rorke has put up a 4.17 ERA in his career and fanned 60 hitters. His record stands at 4-4 with 2 saves.

Several Black Knights and Pilgrims players soon will have to start shopping for a new home. It was announced today that the two teams came to agreement on a trade. Oakland will get 21-year old minor league third baseman José Garza and 21-year old minor league right fielder Gabriel Ramos and Massachusetts will pick up 29-year old starting pitcher Gavin Thompson in return. "I'm not surprised by the news," one of the players told reporters, "It's part of the business and I understand that. I am looking forward to playing for the Black Knights."
In his career Thompson has posted a record of 26-29 and compiled a 4.05 ERA.
