| Breaking News |  | Saturday, November 22nd, 2177: Orlando Trades Suzuki to Los Angeles for Vargas
The Orlando Seminoles announced a deal with the Whales today, sending 30-year old third baseman Matsudaira Suzuki to Los Angeles for 34-year old third baseman Alejandro Vargas. It had been talked about for the past few weeks and everything came together late last night. All players are expected to be joining their respective clubs shortly.
In his career Suzuki has hit .267 with 593 hits, 119 doubles, 25 triples and 26 home runs. His totals also include 238 RBIs and 242 runs scored.
Vargas is hitting .255 during his 1201-game career. He has 749 hits, 169 doubles, 26 triples, 121 home runs, 456 RBIs, 3 stolen bases and 368 runs scored.

 | Monday, September 22nd, 2177: Chávez Shackles Orlando
The Seminoles can take comfort in knowing that they will not have to face Ramón Chávez again for a while. The 25-year-old hurler pitched a 3-hit shutout to help the Lowcountry Gators beat Orlando 7-0. In the process, Chávez struck out 6 and walked 2.
Chávez has made 30 starts this season, posting 18 wins and 5 losses. Opposing clubs are batting .210 against him and he has 182 strikeouts in 194.2 innings with a 2.31 ERA.

 | Thursday, September 18th, 2177: Season Possibly Over for Ken Stephens
Ken Stephens of the Seminoles just might have to call it quits for the season. The 39-year-old Orlando starting pitcher received a possible season-ending injury against the Georgia Rattlesnakes recently at Disney Park. Stephens suffered a herniated disc while throwing a pitch. The Seminoles medical staff said he could be out quite some time, as much as 6 weeks.
Checking out his stats for the season, Stephens has registered 16 wins and 10 losses in 32 starts, 3.97 ERA and struck out 135 batters in 199.1 innings.
