Several Steelheads and Federals players soon will have to start shopping for a new home. It was announced today that the two teams came to agreement on a trade. Seattle will get 22-year old minor league shortstop Ben Hampton and 19-year old minor league shortstop Matt Byrd and Washington will pick up 29-year old starting pitcher Donald Graham in return. "I'm not surprised by the news," one of the players told reporters, "It's part of the business and I understand that. I am looking forward to playing for the Steelheads."
In his career Graham has crafted a 34-28 record with a 4.17 ERA in 526.2 innings. Opposing clubs are batting .248 against him and he has rung up 451 strikeouts.

Fans reacted jubilantly as the Federals and Jon Price have reportedly begun talking contract.
Supposedly, the 28-year-old talent will earn $5,990,000 over the upcoming 1 year which, if true, would be a masterstroke to the organization and their playoff aspirations.

| Wednesday, October 1st, 2177: Lester Gilbert Hurt, Will Miss Rest of Year
Doctors in Washington said Lester Gilbert may not play anymore this year. The Federals right fielder received a scratched cornea during a game against the Philadelphia Freedom and will be out for at least 4 weeks. Club officials told BNN they did not expect him to return to the team this season.
Thus far this year Gilbert is batting .227 with 26 home runs, 86 RBIs and 65 runs scored.
