| Breaking News | | Thursday, October 30th, 2177: Havana-Philadelphia Trade Confirmed
33-year old reliever Michael Campbell and $3,000,000 in cash will now be playing for the Philadelphia Freedom and 21-year old minor league first baseman Luis Martínez and 17-year old minor league second baseman Philip Foster will be suiting up for the Havana Pirates. The trade was announced today at a press conference by club officials.
In his 508-game career, Campbell's won-lost record is 36 wins and 43 losses with a 3.08 ERA and 524 strikeouts in 551.2 innings. He has been credited with 173 saves.

| Saturday, September 20th, 2177: SP Duffy Extends Deal with Philadelphia
Team officials were upbeat today as Drew Duffy signed an extension with the Freedom. He'll be calling Philadelphia home for the next 4 years and will earn $42,120,000 in salary by the end of the contract.
In 32 starts this season Duffy has compiled a 14-8 record and a 3.79 ERA.

| Wednesday, August 27th, 2177: Bad News for Freedom, Venegas Injured
"I'm frustrated right now," said Philadelphia right fielder Jesús Venegas. "I can't help this team by sitting on the bench or in the training room." Unfortunately for the Freedom, that's where he will be spending the next one week. Venegas suffered a dislocated finger in today's game against Nashville while making a defensive play. "Believe me," he said, "I won't be out a day longer than I have to be."
During the 2177 season Venegas has hit .275 with 18 home runs and 58 RBIs. He has played in 92 games and scored 60 times.
